Job Title: Fitter Trainer

Location: Fort Erie, ON, Onsite

FTE Salary: $75K CAD + Benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Have knowledge of customer specifications, blueprints, drawings
  • Ensure material is identified properly
  • Drill, grind, rivet, buck, countersink, ensure finish requirements
  • Apply spacers, shim, and contour to specifications
  • Insert fasteners, trap nuts, hardware
  • Use measuring instruments (verniers, scales, micrometres etc.)
  • Ensure work is performed to drawing dimensions and customer specifications
  • Ensure parts are free from burrs and damage
  • Ensure all parts are securely attached, have correct protective coating, bolts and rivets are installed properly
  • May deburr, perform sealing, part marking and assisting in paint shop
  • Ensure proper clearances are maintained, and documentation is correct
  • Perform a wide variety of assembly and sub assembly
  • Able to read blueprints and follow instructions

Technical Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of experience in aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
  • Experience designing and delivering training for aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, or quality assurance teams.
  • Able to follow instructions, read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications; able to use a variety of tools
  • Able to work within time constraints
  • Take responsibility for own actions and duties
  • Manager may issue daily tasks to workers after having received instruction from supervisor, so must be able to motivate self and others.
